Here are some ways to help lower Anxiety and Stress on a regular basis.
Learn and use an Anxiety busting breathing technique - Take a long, deep, breath in through your nose, filling your lungs from bottom to top for 5 seconds. Breathe out a long, deep, slow breath out through your mouth for 10 seconds. Repeat the exercise noticing the feelings of anxiety reducing with each rep.
Stay in the moment - Practice the 5 x 5 Rule. If it won't matter in 5 years time, don’t spend more than 5 minutes worrying about it.
Self Hypnosis/Meditation/Mindfulness - Practice Self Hypnosis, Meditation or Mindfulness to bring you back to the present. You can download Apps to use from your phone.
Stay Grounded - Notice the following things around you
5 things you can see
4 things you can touch
3 things you hear
2 things you can smell
1 thing you can taste
