What is Anxiety & Stress Therapy?

Anxiety & Stress Therapy lowers the "flight or fight or freeze" stress response which results in uncomfortable feelings within the body and unwanted negative thoughts.

  

This Therapy teaches Relaxation and Stress Coping Strategies along with other therapeutic interventions to help control and manage the Anxiety.

How Can Anxiety & Stress Therapy help me?

At its worse Anxiety controls the mind and body of the Client, leaving the Client struggling to live their daily life and affecting important relationships. 

This Therapy can help you to reduce your Anxiety through relaxation and the turning down of the stress hormones.  

My 6 week Anxiety Management Programme will put you back in control of your life, mind and body.  This Therapy does require practice. 

What type of therapy is used?

A mixture of Hypnotherapy, Psychotherapy & Counselling skills will be used during Anxiety & Stress Therapy, fused with any of the following Brief Strategic Therapies of CBT, NLP, Positive Psychology and Solution Focused Therapy depending on each Clients requirements.

How Can I practice Anxiety & Stress Therapy ?

Here are some ways to help lower Anxiety and Stress on a regular basis. 

Learn and use an Anxiety busting breathing technique  - Take a long, deep, breath in through your nose, filling your lungs from bottom to top for 5 seconds. Breathe out a long, deep, slow breath out through your mouth for 10 seconds.  Repeat the exercise noticing the feelings of anxiety reducing with each rep. 

Stay in the moment - Practice the 5 x 5 Rule.  If it won't matter in 5 years time, don’t spend more than 5 minutes worrying about it.

Self Hypnosis/Meditation/Mindfulness - Practice Self Hypnosis, Meditation or Mindfulness to bring you back to the present.  You can download Apps to use from your phone. 

Stay Grounded   - Notice the following things around you

5 things you can see

4 things you can touch 

3 things you hear

2 things you can smell

1  thing you can taste
