How Can Hypnotherapy help me to stop Smoking?

At its worse Smoking can control your mind and body, Clinical Hypnotherapy can be an effective tool to help you quit smoking by addressing the physical and psychological aspects of your addiction. Here's how our Clinical hypnotherapy program can help you:

  1. Identifying and addressing triggers: that make you reach for a cigarette. Clinical Hypnotherapy can help you uncover and address these triggers by accessing your subconscious mind, where many of our habits and behaviors are rooted.
  2. Changing your thought patterns: Clinical Hypnotherapy can help change your thought patterns and reduce the desire to smoke.

How Can I help myself to stop Smoking ?

 Commit to and build a personal QUIT PLAN


 Follow these steps to make a personal quit plan:


  1. Set a quit date — some time in the next 2 weeks will give you time to prepare. Add the date to your calendar as a reminder.
  2. Write down why you want to quit — you can use these reasons to remind yourself why you're doing this.
  3. Prepare to deal with any cravings and withdrawal symptoms — find out what suits you best.
  4. List down all your smoking triggers — all the situations, habits and feelings that make you want to reach for a cigarette. Plan how to deal with these and stay in control.
  5. Make your home and car 'smoke-free zones' — lighters, spare packs of cigarettes ... they all need to go.
  6. Tell your friends and family that you're quitting.


Learn and use a cravings busting breathing technique  - Take a long, deep, breath in through your nose, filling your lungs from bottom to top for 5 seconds. Breathe out a long, deep, slow breath out through your mouth for 10 seconds.  Repeat the exercise noticing the feelings of anxiety reducing with each rep.
