You do not need to read everything on this page. Many people find it helpful to skim and pause where something resonates.
Depression affects millions of people worldwide. While there are many treatment options available, some individuals may find that traditional therapies, such as medication, are not effective for them.
Psychotherapy & Clinical Hypnotherapy are a non-invasive treatments option that have shown promise in treating depression.
Depression Therapy teaches you Coping Strategies which helps to reduce the symptoms, this can reduce stress and anxiety and promote feelings of calm and relaxation.
Many people struggling with depression are not only dealing with low mood, exhaustion, or lack of motivation — they are also carrying a quiet sense of shame.
Shame often shows up as thoughts such as “I should be coping better”, “Other people manage”, or “There must be something wrong with me.”
This is not a personal failure.
It is often the result of stigma — the idea that emotional suffering means weakness or lack of resilience.
When these messages are absorbed internally, they can deepen depression, increase isolation, and make it harder to ask for help.
Depression is not a choice. It is a human response to distress, pressure, loss, or emotional overwhelm — and it deserves understanding, not judgement.
Clinical hypnotherapy can be particularly helpful where depression is reinforced by automatic thought patterns, emotional shutdown, or long-standing self-judgement.
Rather than forcing positive thinking, hypnotherapy works with the nervous system to promote calm, emotional safety, and access to inner resources at your own pace. At its worst, depression can feel as though it controls both mind and body — draining energy, narrowing perspective, and affecting relationships, work, and daily life.
Therapy provides a safe, structured space to understand what is maintaining your depression and to gently interrupt patterns such as rumination, emotional suppression, and harsh self-criticism.
This combined approach can help you to
* reduce persistent low mood, anxiety, and emotional exhaustion
* break cycles of overthinking and self-criticism
* address underlying emotional patterns rather than just symptoms
* develop coping strategies that feel achievable, not forced
* rebuild self-compassion, confidence, and emotional balance
Ultimately helping you to weather the worst of your depression storm, find relief and renewed Hope .
A mixture of Clinical Hypnotherapy, Psychotherapy & Counselling skills will be used during Anxiety & Stress Therapy, fused with any of the following Brief Strategic Therapies of CBT, NLP, Positive Psychology and Solution Focused Therapy depending on each Clients requirements.
Alongside therapy, there are small, supportive steps that can help stabilise mood and reduce the impact of depression. These are not “cures”, but gentle ways to support your wellbeing.

If low mood, exhaustion, lack of motivation, or self-critical thoughts are affecting your quality of life or relationships, therapy may help. You do not need to be “at crisis point” to seek support.
This is very common. Many people delay seeking help because they feel they should cope alone. Depression does not have to be extreme to be valid. Therapy is about understanding and support, not judgement.
Hypnotherapy can be helpful where depression is maintained by overthinking, emotional shutdown, or harsh inner self-talk. It is always used in a safe, collaborative way and tailored to your comfort level.
No. Therapy is paced according to your needs. You remain in control of what you share, and sessions are guided with care and respect.
Some people benefit from medication, others do not, and many use therapy alongside medical support. This can be discussed collaboratively, and therapy does not replace medical advice.
This varies depending on individual circumstances. Some clients notice changes within a few sessions, while others benefit from longer-term work. Progress is reviewed regularly.
Reaching out does not commit you to therapy — It is simply a quiet, supportive conversation where you can talk things through, ask questions, and see whether working together feels right for you.
